Our department was established on 22 May 2013 within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of Sinop University. Two years after its inception, the student has been recruited since 26 March 2015 and is still continuing. There are 1 professor, 2 associate professor and 1 research assistant in our department. The aim of this course is to provide students with the ability to apply mathematics, science and engineering knowledge in the fields of Energy Systems engineering. The aim of the course is to educate scientists who have the ability to formulate, model, analyze and solve energy systems engineering problems, design and conduct the experiment when necessary and analyze and interpret the results. In addition, computer programming courses are given to students and foreign language courses are given during four years of undergraduate education in order to increase foreign language proficiency.
Engineers who have graduated from the Department of Energy Systems Engineering will find a wide range of jobs in the fields of energy production, transmission, distribution and use as designers or practitioners: all areas related to energy systems and technologies in the private sector, Mechanical-Plumbing (Heating, Cooling, Ventilation, Sanitary Facilities), Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), General Directorate of Petroleum Affairs (PIGM), Mineral Research and Exploration Institute (MTA), Boron Institute, Electrical Works Survey Administration (EIE), Electricity Generation Inc.(EGC), Turkey Electricity Transmission Company (TEIAS), Turkey Electricity Distribution Company (TEDAŞ), State Water Works (DSI), Turkey Coal Enterprises (TKI), Turkey search Petroleum Corporation (TPAO), Turkey Pipeline Inc.
